OUR STORY
Gerry DeFilippo created Challenger Strength on the pure passion he has for strength and conditioning and personal fitness. Since he first lifted a weight with his father in their first home gym at the age of thirteen, Gerry has had an immense desire to continually evolve with his own training and knowledge to help others. After an ankle injury prematurely ended Gerry's college baseball career, he began to become more immersed in strength training and athletic performance. With the approval of his parents, he once again turned the new family basement into a weight room, and trained his friends who came to him for assistance. After years of interest and study in the field, Gerry became certified under the tutelage of Joe DeFranco and Jim Smith. He now works alongside his childhood physical therapist, athletic trainer and mentor Dr. Brady Blaszka, and has created Challenger Strength to live out his life passion in the strength and conditioning, athletic performance, and fitness industry. 
OUR MISSION
At Challenger Strength we combine today's top methods in sports conditioning and fitness to tailor specific programs designed to guide any individual to their goals. We incorporate the ideal blend of speed, agility and strength training to lead our athlete's to increased on-field performance. Our programming is designed to bridge the gap between strength and speed training and sport performance. We promise to use proven, evidence based methods to challenge you and lead you to your goals on and off the field, or just improve your general fitness.
